ATTENTION PRIMARY SCHOOL EDUCATORS AND STUDENT THESPIANS:

The Primary Drama Department of St. Andrews International School, Green Valley is proud to announce the formation of its soon-to-be annual Drama Festival entitled St. Andrews Student Spotlight (SASS). Here in Rayong, we have been working very hard to build up our Creative Arts program. As such, the dramatic arts profile in our school has become much more pronounced -- and as a result -- we are gaining more and more interest from students who are ready to 'tread the boards!' We want to help promote this love of theater all throughout Thailand, but feel it is important to start out small and build accordingly each year. As such, the 2010/11 SASS Festival will be a one-day-event (workshops and competition), by invitation only. For this first year, it will be open to just students in Years 4 through 6.

I have developed a website to help facilitate the event and to provide ongoing information and support. Though it is still 'under construction,' please take a moment to check it out at www.sassdramafedstival.info.

Reserve the date... SATURDAY, MARCH 19, 2011!!!

If you are interested in having your school attend, please contact me at cparsons@standrews-schools.com.

I believe this could be a wonderful opportunity to showcase our students' theatrical talents as well as provide a nice forum for us to come together as Theater Arts (and Primary) educators. The future possibilities of this event are unlimited -- and if successful, could certainly grow to become a Thailand-wide Primary (and perhaps Secondary too) event!

Please do not hesitate to write me with any questions and/or use the public forum I have set up on the website. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Dramatically Yours,

Christopher T. Parsons Razz

Primary Drama Coordinator, St. Andrews School - Rayong
